Campervan, Motorhome and Caravan Site Instructions
The Village Hall at Kyleakin is a superb facility and has a full range of sanitary facilities which will be available to us throughout the Rally. In case there is congestion at peak times we are also arranging to have two portaloos on site. There is no facility for Blackwater/Chemical waste disposal on site and we are not permitted to empty waste into the Halls’ sewage system. The nearest facilities and indeed all of Scotlands facilities can be found on the Campa website using the following link https://www.campa.org.uk/waste-disposal/
Space is at a premium for vehicles at the Village Hall, the field is itself is great for tents but, even with good weather conditions can be boggy and is not suitable for cars, vans or motorhomes. We are therefore restricted to using the paved areas and fitting everyone in will require you to follow the stewards directions. You will be required to unload any bikes or trailers as directed by the Rally stewards.
We regret that due to the already mentioned problems there is no space to erect Awnings.
There are no facilities for electric hook-ups at the Village Hall. Be prepared for off-gridcamping.
Vehicles will be parked as you arrive. If you want to stay close to other members, please rendezvous offsite and come to the site together.
As part of our site rules your vehicle must have a fire extinguisher, dry powder type preferably and you are also recommended to have fire blanket.
Bear in mind that most Disposal points in the Highlands and Islands are in rural areas that will need you to use GREEN sanitary fluids.
We suggest that you make your disposals and fill up with water before you get to Kyleakin. The nearest Camper Stop /Aire Disposal site is at Auchtertyre Farm Motorhome Aire, approx 5 miles south of Kyleakin on the A87.
